a dead rat by the side of the road
Hateful words between lovers
chocolate that is too sweet with strawberries.

I like this poem. I like how it mentions death, love, and then chocolate. It's anticlimactic and thus humorous and it works!
However, in "stuck the in grill," "in" and "the" should be transposed, I imagine.
